WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY'S 2014 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE

INFLUENCER 

The Daily Athenaeum is our school’s local newspaper that takes time at the end of each year to recognize students, staff, and faculty of West Virginia University for their hard work, leadership, and service to the Morgantown community. My efforts with trying to combat our school’s negative reputation through the social media campaign “#RespectfulMountaineer”, earned me a spot on their list for the 2014 academic year. While I never do anything to be recognized or awarded, this accolade was very enlightening because I realized my hard work was appreciated by many of my professors, peers, and the community itself. I realize I did not do anything more than stand up and speak up for what many others felt strongly about. I am truly honored to be recognized for being the brave and influential individual that I am, and I look forward to continuing to represent my Alma Mater in the absolute best way possible!
